OUTDOOR GROUP EXERCISE

These group classes are a great service, particularly for Pregnant & Postnatal Mums. So many Mums simply want to start moving after having their baby or continue to during pregnancy, but aren’t quite sure where to start, or how to do so safely. And with an onsite nanny option, it’s much needed time to yourself. There are also mixed classes for the Dads too. 

10 WEEK ONLINE COURSE

This online group coaching course goes beyond just exercise, it discusses 5 key pillars, all essential for amazing health. We would delve into Nutrition, Circadian Rhythms, Hydration status, Movement, and your Mentality around your self.

It’s not a weight loss course, but in my experience when you start to address your health needs, your body will change.

1 ON 1 COACHING

Private coaching provides 1-1 holistic lifestyle coaching designed to suit your individual needs. Every person is different and so are your needs. I will coach you to create well established goals, and reverse engineer the journey from where you are now, to where you wish to be.

CHRIS STURGESS

Chris is very passionate about the fitness, health and well-being, and helping others achieve that for themselves. That may sound cliche, but it’s true.

“I’ve been health coaching for 15 years now, I just gravitate towards all things health, it’s what I love to do, so that’s why I do it”.

In particular, Chris loves to help parents of young families, and being a dad himself helps him understand the long lasting impact that Mums and Dads can have on their little ones as they watch and learn, as children don’t necessarily hear what we say, they do more of what they see!

“All parents want to be awesome role models for their kids, I know I do. I want my kids to grow up happy, smart, clever, healthy, loved, all of that, and sometimes we can forget to take care of ourselves in all of that, but the best thing we can do for everyone in our life is prioritise our own health and wellbeing, and everything else will become better.”

Since 2007, Chris has combined his learnings from all things; being a parent, and a self-confessed health nut, and 15+ years of personal training experience, to create a service outside of the typical gym environment, for Mums to exercise with onsite nannies and Dads to train with other Dads. Both of these group training classes are very community focused, also very specialised, to provide young families a place to prioritise your health. His private coaching services encompass all the knowledge and skills he has acquired in his time to take a holistic 5 pillar approach to health and well-being, which is about getting results through sustainable lifestyle changes.

  • Cadence Institute of Nutrition and Health Coaching: Nutrition for fertility, pregnancy and lactation certificate
  • Level 1 Precision Nutrition Practitioner
  • Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner qualified
  • Level Two exercise professional: Gym instructor, personal trainer, older adult trainer, children’s trainer
  • ASCA: Level 1 Strength & Conditioning coach
  • Level 1 boot camp and group fitness instructor
  • UTS: Post Graduate Business Management Cert
  • Boutagy Fitness Institute: Strength and Hypertrophy Level 1
  • Master Personal Trainer (Australian Institute of Fitness, September 2007)

MOVEMENT FOR MUMMAS

OUTDOOR GROUP EXERCISE

Class prices range from $22 to $29 per class 

Join our community of local Mums. Exercise safely during pregnancy or regain your sense of self and body confidence after having a baby. You will be training with an extremely supportive, unintimidating community of local mums. The best part is that your child is totally welcome, as all weekday sessions have experienced and qualified nannies on hand to care for your child while you train. These group sessions are focused on functional strength and conditioning, using suspension equipment, free weights, resistance bands and bodyweight exercises. With 15+ years of experience, Chris is able to design weekly workouts which are not just safe for pregnant or postnatal mums, but will also provide challenging workouts that cater to all fitness levels.

Nutrition & dieting – Creating a healthy relationship with food, understanding what a great diet looks like, recipe ideas and weekly food planners to help you and your family eat healthy.

Understanding the body’s systems – Learn about your digestive system, the importance of taking care of your gut flora, why sleep is crucial to a healthy immune system and why you liver could be stopping you from losing weight.

Working out & working in – Learn the importance of when, what and why different forms of movement are needed during pregancy and for postnatal recovery.

By creating a strategy based on your needs and your lifestyle, which involves optimising the right Movement for you, getting optimal Sleep, drinking enough quality Water, understanding how your Mind operates, and working through your Nutrition needs, all together will change your life! However, the art is creating new habits, and this is where Chris uses his skills and experience in human behaviour (Neuro-Lingustics) and meditative practices to help you make change.
